Hi, I'm Allison Slater Rasch.

People often ask me, how does a cell biology major end up in human resources?

The answer is that I'm obsessed with understanding what makes people who they are and at

its core, biology is the study of the systems that define us as people.

Today, my work is mission-driven and human centered.

My passion for people work started in the non-profit sector where I specialized in educational

equity and social impact. In 2012, I co-founded Camp Phoenix, a 501(c)(3) that leveraged

the transformative power of nature to build leadership and stop “summer learning slide” for

kids who need it most. As Co-Founder, Executive Director and then long-time Board Member,

I developed a deep understanding of the fundamentals of non-profit management from fundraising

to daily operations.

I've spent the last decade working in Silicon Valley where I led teams and oversaw the development of new functions at Greenhouse Software, ClassDojo, Stitch Fix, and Navan (fka TripActions). My systems acumen and enthusiasm for creating effective learning tools for others led me into recruiting operations and then into learning and development, performance management, and people operations. These companies ranged from 10-10,000 employees across SaaS, fin-tech, retail tech, and ed-tech.

Regardless of industry, the common thread of my work has always been the challenging and critical role that people strategy plays in the health and success of any business.

In 2024, I launched my own consulting practice so I could broaden the scope of companies and people I support. Now, I work with innovative leaders – both small business owners and those leading mid-size companies in growth mode – in navigating the many challenges of people management. I'm passionate about solving problems with organizations that want to prioritize people, I have built a deep expertise in strategy, and I love watching businesses grow with compassion and intention.

Questions or ideas? I'd love to hear from you. Let’s work together to build workplaces where people flourish so that business can thrive.

I live in Bend, Oregon. Outside of work, you'll find me in nature, running through mountains, reading a book, or in the kitchen working on my recipe for the perfect sourdough bagel.

I'm the Personnel Chair on the Board of Directors for Family Kitchen in Bend, a local Central Oregon organization that serves those in our area experiencing food insecurity and homelessness.

I've married my love of running, nature and travel by exploring trails all over the world.

How I work with my clients:

I walk in your shoes.

Whether I’m working directly with you, your leadership, or anyone on your staff, I meet you where you’re at with respect, empathy and a desire to understand.

I lead with authenticity.

I don’t shy away from sharing my honest perspective. I challenge unhelpful beliefs that may be holding you back and help you and your team gain a boarder perspective.

I get creative.

There is no one-size fits all solution when it comes to people. We’ll innovate the right strategy that works for your business.

I am your biggest fan.

I’m on your team and see your success as my own. I know that being a leader is difficult and you deserve a champion to help you see and unlock the potential in your team and in your business.

I welcome every perspective.

I am inclusive in my approach, knowing that diverse ideas will elevate our work together and will give your business a competitive advantage.

Allison's background creating a successful nonprofit and leading it through transformational change, combined with her depth of experience in the for-profit world give her a unique and highly effective tool box. Without her asking hard, important questions and delivering critical guidance, our organization would not have grappled with the changing role of the board, upleveling how I think of leadership, and do the hard work necessary to make a critical organizational change. Allison is an active listener, insightful questioner, and a trusted partner. Our team is unquestionably stronger with her onboard.
